ABOUT ME

Hi! ^_^ I'm Teo. I'm a Romanian-born, Austria-located videogame composer, DJ and multimedia artist.
I've been writing music since 2011, and have worked on the soundtrack of several games. My favorite recent projects are Spark the Electric Jester 3 and XF Xtreme Formula, both by Lake Feperd. I've also written for Pier Pressure by Headcannon.
My style is what I could describe as nostalgic yet fresh. I love few things more than writing high-energy electronic music. I do like me some Drum and Bass, Trance, Jungle, House and Techno. But my styles span much wider, having written IDM, New Jack Swing, Orchestral, Jazz, Funk and Ambient pieces too. Really, I could never put myself in a creative cage and do the same style for the rest of my life. I don't know how others do it!
Anyways, music is not the only thing I do. I am also a Media Arts student (not for long!) and I've had such a blast learning new skills and creating interactive art installations and experiences. I absolutely love creating abstract yet emotionally deep pieces with programs such as Touch Designer, VVVV Gamma, Max MSP and self-built hardware. Creative coding has opened up all sorts of doors in my mind, and it's my goal to keep entering those doors.
I do my best to create art that resonates, sparks, and shines in your face. Music that makes you say "damn, they didn't have to go that hard" (it is my opinion that they always SHOULD go that hard). I've been inspired by so many incredible people. I just hope to do the same!

I price myself dynamically based on the size and scope of the project, as well as the work I am being asked to do, so the only way to find out is together, do get in touch! I can tell you though, that I usually go for base rate per unit of completed work + adjustments based on complexity or number of revisions (first few are free).
Can I use your music in my game?
Is it a fangame, hobby project or otherwise non-profit thingy? Sure, but I'd still like you to contact me and tell me about its inclusion! Is it a for-profit thingymabob that you intend to sell? In that case, please contact me so we can sort out a license for you.
What's your story?
Alright. Let me tell you about my beginnings. I got on the web in 2009, when I was a frail 9 years old. My fascination with technology and the internet goes way back. It was different back then, there were so many communities, and so much creation, in every corner. I caught the tail end of the golden age, I think. Anyways, I spent days and days looking at user-made content on sites like Newgrounds, DeviantArt and the (good) old YouTube. In fact, I even made some of my own Youtube Poops, tutorials, and so on (if you're sneaky you might be able to dig them up. they are definitely products of their time though)
At first I was making stupid videos with Windows Movie Maker, then moved on to Sony Vegas, and eventually I had the wish to make YTMPVs too. One day, I asked a question on the now dead Yahoo Answers: "how can i make my own youtube poop music videos???!!1?" and one GENIUS stranger replied "idk, try fruity loops studio?". Thank you, internet stranger. You changed my life. That's how I started making music. Not that the passion wasn't there already, I spent ages listening to VGM Soundtracks that I downloaded onto my iPod Touch 3G. No matter where I went.
At the same time, I was constantly taking apart my dad's old electronic devies and messing around with them. My grandpa taught me the basics of electronics (love you, gramps). To this day, I still am fascinated by analog gear and analog methods. The imperfections and life in analog media and art is a big influence on my work, even when I'm working digitally.
I found then, through being annoying on Youtube DMs (that was a thing!), a lovely group of friends that inspired me and helped me grow as a musician, and a creative. I stayed up, sometimes even skipped school to create, and I just couldn't stop. My life became my art, and it shall stay that way for the rest of it.
Right now, I am part of an incredible collective called Millennium Strike that inspires me and pushes me to be a better artist constantly. We've organized raves all across the globe, internet, and Virtual Reality too. Love y'all. Bunch of disgustingly tanted people.
Can you DJ at my birthday party?
Oh yes.
